하나님의 도우심

직업 어부인 스콧 톰슨은 캘리포니아 해안 산타 바바라 해협에서 조업 중 달도 없는 어둔 밤에 배에서 떨어져 죽을 위기에 처했습니다. 그는 배를 향해 힘을 다해 헤엄쳐 갔지만 엔진으로 가는 배를 따라잡을 수 없었습니다. 그래서 그는 대신에 어둠 속에 멀리 떠 있는 석유 시추선까지 헤엄쳐 가려 했습니다. 희망을 잃어가던 톰슨에게 차가운 물 속에서 첨벙거리는 소리가 들렸습니다. 바다표범 한 마리가 얼마 동안 그와 함께 헤엄치며 그를 플랫폼 쪽으로 밀어주었습니다. 다섯 시간의 긴 수영 끝에 톰슨은 그 바다표범을 자신을 도우라고 보낸 “천사”라고 하였습니다.

히브리서 저자는 천사들이 “구원받을 상속자들을 위하여 섬기라고 보내심을 받은 섬기는 영”(히브리서 1:14)이라고 말합니다. 이 구절은 예수님의 위대하심을 강조하며, 신비롭고 영광스러운 존재인 천사들이 우리를 구원하시는 예수님의 목적을 돕기 위해 존재한다는 사실을 강조합니다. 예수님은 “그의 능력의 말씀으로 만물을” 붙들고 계십니다(3절).

우리 주변 어디에서나 눈으로는 안보여도 실제로는 예수님의 복음을 기쁨으로 받아들인 사람들을 도우려고 하나님께서 천사들을 보내어 일하고 계십니다. 때로 우리의 밤이 길게 느껴지고 계속 나아갈 수 있을지 의문이 들어도 하나님은 언제나 우리에게 필요한 도움, 곧 주 안에서 우리를 밀어주는 도움을 주실 것입니다.

THE HELP GOD PROVIDES

When commercial fisherman Scott Thompson fell out of his boat one moonless night in the Santa Barbara Channel off the California coast, he didn’t know if he’d survive. He swam hard after the boat, but the motor was running and he couldn’t reach it. So he attempted to swim to a distant oil platform in the darkness. Beginning to lose hope, Thompson heard a splash in the cold water near him. A harbor seal swam with him for a while, nudging him along toward the platform. Five hours later, Thompson completed the long swim and described the seal as “an angel” sent to help him.

The writer of the book of Hebrews describes angels as “ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation” (HEBREWS 1:14). The passage highlights the greatness of Jesus and emphasizes that angels—wonderful and glorious beings that they are—exist to further His purposes in saving us. Jesus sustains “all things by his powerful word” (V. 3).

All around us is an unseen reality in which God sends angels to aid those who have gladly received the good news of Jesus. Sometimes our nights may be long, and we may wonder if we can keep going. But He’ll always give us the help we need—help that will nudge us on in Him.

하나님을 기다리며

카즈토와 그의 아내 미기와는 두려운 마음으로 초음파 검사 결과를 기다렸습니다. 미기와는 9개월 넘게 간 기능이 나빠져 긴급히 간 이식을 받아야 할 상황이었습니다. 카즈토는 자기 간의 일부를 아내에게 기증할 수 있었지만, 한 가지 조건은 미기와의 심장이 튼튼해야 한다는 것이었습니다. 지난번 초음파 검사 결과 아내의 심장이 조금 좋아진 것 같았지만, 이번 검사에서는 얼마나 더 나아졌을까요?

그러나 실망스럽게도 이번 결과는 지금까지의 검사 중 가장 안 좋았습니다. 카즈토는 말했습니다. “우는 아내를 위로하고 나서 나도 혼자 울었습니다. 하지만... 기다림은 시간 낭비가 아닙니다. 우리가 겉으로 볼 수는 없어도 우리가 기다리는 동안... 하나님은 놀라운 일을 하고 계시기 때문입니다.”

카즈토의 하나님에 대한 믿음은 다윗 왕의 믿음과 비슷합니다. 다윗은 “너는 여호와를 기다릴지어다 강하고 담대하며 여호와를 기다릴지어다”(시편 27:14)라고 기록했습니다. 하나님은 우리의 “빛”이시요 “구원”이시요 “능력”이시니(1절), 우리는 하나님이 어둠 가운데서도 소망을 주실 것(3절)과 시련 중에도 위로하실 것(13절)과 “그의 장막” 안에서 우리를 안전하게 지켜 주실 것(5절)을 믿을 수 있습니다.

하나님이 우리의 기도에 즉시 응답하시지 않아도 우리는 변함없는 하나님의 성품을 온전히 신뢰할 수 있습니다. 우리의 고통을 그분께 맡기며 마음에 이렇게 다짐합시다. “강하고 담대하며 여호와를 기다릴지어다”(14절). 하나님은 우리와 함께하시며 언제나 우리의 유익을 위해 일하고 계십니다.

WAITING FOR GOD

Kazuto and his wife Migiwa waited with trepidation for the ultrasound exam results. Migiwa’s liver had been failing for more than nine months, and she urgently needed a liver transplant. Kazuto could donate a portion of his liver to his wife, but there was one condition: Migiwa’s heart had to be strong. The last ultrasound had shown slight improvement to her heart. Would it show more this time?

To their disappointment, the results were the worst yet. Kazuto shared: “After I comforted my crying wife, I also cried by myself. But . . . waiting isn’t a waste of time because God is nurturing something wonderful . . . while we wait, even though we can’t see anything on the surface.”

Kazuto’s confidence in God paralleled that of King David, who wrote, “Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord” (PSALM 27:14). Because God is our “light,” “salvation,” and “stronghold” (V. 1), we can trust Him to offer hope amid darkness (V. 3), comfort us during our trials (V. 13), and secure us safely in “his dwelling” (V. 5).

When God seems to delay in answering our prayers, we can still put our complete trust in His unchanging attributes. As we bring our heartaches to Him, let’s also instruct our hearts: “Be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord” (V. 14). He is with us and always working for our good.

우버 기사 에스본 카마우는 아버지가 선물로 주시는 오토바이를 사러 가는 길이었던 16살 된 승객을 태웠습니다. 그가 내린 뒤 카마우는 뒷좌석에 두고 내린 가방을 발견했는데 그 안에는 오토바이를 살 현금 8천 달러가 들어 있었습니다. 카마우는 즉시 우버 본사에 연락하여 승객의 위치를 확인해 소년에게 현금을 그대로 돌려주었습니다. 소년은 감사하며 안도했습니다. 카마우는 말했습니다 “맞는 타이밍에 올바르게 행하십시오. 이기심이 나를 이기도록 둬서는 안 됩니다.”

카마우는 정직한 모습을 보여주었습니다. 돈을 쉽게 벌거나 남의 실수를 이용하려는 생각을 버리고 단순히 옳은 일을 하기로 선택한 것입니다. 잠언은 “바른 길로 행하는 자는 걸음이 평안하다”고 말합니다(10:9). 우리가 진실하게 살면 누군가에게 했던 말을 기억해 두려고 걱정할 필요가 없습니다. 진실만이 우리에게 중요하기 때문입니다. 그렇게 살면 남들이 우리에 대해 무슨 말을 할까, 우리가 꾸민 일이 드러날까 두려워하지 않아도 됩니다. 우리가 “굽은 길로 행하는 자”(9절)처럼 될까 두려워할 일도 없습니다. 우리는 하나님이 주시는 지혜(13절)를 보여주며 그냥 진실하게 살면 되는 것입니다. 우리는 하나님 안에서 안전하고 자유롭습니다.

살면서 거짓말을 하거나 남을 이용하려는 생각이 들 때가 많아도 하나님은 우리에게 하나님을 따라 살라고 하십니다. 그렇게 할 때에 우리는 “정직한”(29절) 삶을 살 수 있습니다.

WALKING IN INTEGRITY

An Uber driver named Esbon Kamau picked up a sixteen-year-old rider who was on his way to purchase a motorcycle—a gift from his father. After Kamau dropped the passenger off, he noticed the teen had left a bag in the back seat. There was $8,000 inside—the cash needed for the purchase of the motorcycle. Kamau quickly contacted Uber to try and locate the passenger. Soon Kamau delivered the cash back to the grateful, relieved young man. “Do the right thing at the right time,” Kamau said, “and don’t let selfishness overpower [you].”

Kamau displayed integrity. He resisted making a fast buck or taking advantage of someone’s mistake. Instead, he chose to simply do the right thing. “Whoever walks in integrity walks securely,” Proverbs says (10:9). When we practice integrity, we never have to worry about remembering what we said to whom, because truth is our only concern. When we practice integrity, we don’t have to fear for our reputation or that our schemes will catch up with us. We don’t have to be concerned about being a person whose “crooked paths will be found out” (V. 9). We simply live true—displaying wisdom (V. 13) that comes from God. We’re secure and free in Him.

We face numerous temptations to lie or manipulate in life, but God calls us to walk with Him. And as we do, we can lead “blameless” (V. 29) lives of integrity.

더 좋은 하나님 나라

아버지의 임종을 앞두고 여러 감정이 스쳤던 미셸은 아버지가 “얘야, 이젠 네 결혼식에 손잡고 들어가지 못하게 됐구나.” 하는 말씀에 슬퍼졌습니다. 그러나 미셸은 히브리서 11장의 소망의 말씀을 붙잡고 “아빠는 하늘에 있는 더 좋은 나라로 가시는 거잖아요.”라고 하며 변함없는 자기의 사랑을 전했습니다. 아버지가 돌아가시면 하나님과 영원히 함께 계실 것을 믿었던 미셸은 “천국은 정말로 좋은 곳!”이라는 것을 알고 있었습니다.

히브리서는 국가와 종교적 반대 세력의 박해를 받던 예수님을 믿는 유대인 신자들에게 쓴 편지입니다. 이 서신은 서기 70년 성전이 파괴되기 전에 기록된 것이지만, 그 직후에 예루살렘이 로마에 의해 함락되었을 가능성도 있습니다. 이런 두려움 가운데 저자는 믿는 사람들에게 “구름 같이 둘러싼 허다한 증인들” (히브리서 12:1)을 말하며 믿음을 굳게 지키라고 하였습니다. 그 증인들은 “약속을 받지 못하였으되 그것들을 멀리서 보고 환영하며”(11:13) 믿음으로 살면서 “더 나은 본향, 곧 하늘에 있는 것”을 사모했습니다. 하나님은 그들의 하나님이라 불리기를 기뻐하시며 “그들을 위하여 한 성을 예비하셨습니다”(16절).

GOD’S BETTER COUNTRY

Michele experienced a mixture of emotions as her father neared the end of his life. She grieved when he said, “Honey, I won’t be here to walk you down the aisle.” But she assured him of her love, clinging to the hope she found in Hebrews 11 as she said, “You’re heading for a better country, a country in heaven.” Michele believed that her dad, when he died, would be with God forever. She reflected, “Heaven will be that good!”

The letter to the Hebrews was aimed at Jewish believers in Jesus experiencing persecution by state and religious opponents. Although it was written before the destruction of the temple in ad 70, the fall of Jerusalem to the Romans may have occurred soon after. In this climate of fear, the author urged the believers to hold firm to their faith as he highlighted a great “cloud of witnesses” (HEBREWS 12:1). Each “did not receive the things promised; they only saw them and welcomed them from a distance” (11:13). They lived by faith, “longing for a better country—a heavenly one.” God was pleased to be called their God, and He “prepared a city for them” (V. 16).

Although Michele ached with sadness when her father died, she embraced the promises of her heavenly Father. We too can welcome these same promises “from a distance” (V. 13), trusting in God.

이 전쟁은 하나님께 속한 것

캐롤은 교회 시니어 사역에서 사람들을 사귀고 돕는 일을 좋아했지만, 강압적인 리더로부터 괴롭힘을 당하게 되었고, 너무 힘들어서 상담까지 받을 정도였습니다. 사역을 그만두라는 상담사의 조언이 있었지만, 캐롤은 노인들을 “떠나고” 싶지 않았습니다. 어찌할 바 몰라 하나님께 기도하며 그분께 두려움을 맡겼더니 평안과 확신을 주셨습니다. 그 리더에게 할 말을 하되 문제 해결은 하나님께 맡기라는 응답을 주셨던 것입니다.

여호사밧 왕은 강한 적군이 예루살렘에 다가온다는 소식을 듣고 가장 먼저 기도부터 했습니다. 그는 하나님의 주권에 호소하며 이렇게 기도 드렸습니다. 우리가 어떻게 할 줄도 알지 못하옵고 오직 주만 바라보나이다”(역대하 20:12). 유다 왕과 백성들은 스스로의 힘에 의지하기보다 그들과 그들의 어려움을 하나님께 맡겼습니다(18절).

하나님께서 선지자 야하시엘을 통해 왕과 백성에게 주신 응답은 든든 했습니다. “두려워하거나 놀라지 말라 이 전쟁은 너희에게 속한 것이 아니요 하나님께 속한 것이니라”(15절). 하나님은 유다에게 진군하되 결과는 하나님께 맡기라고 명하신 것입니다. 그들은 믿음으로 순종했고 마치 이미 응답 받은 것처럼 하나님을 찬양했습니다(20-21절). 그렇게 하다보니 전투에서 승리해 있었습니다(24절).

어려운 상황에 부딪힐 때마다 하나님께 기도로 도움을 청합시다. 항상 승리하지 않을 수도 있지만 무슨 일이 일어나든 두려워할 필요가 없습니다. 전쟁은 하나님께 속한 것이기 때문입니다.

THE BATTLE IS GOD’S

Though she enjoyed befriending and helping folks in her church’s seniors ministry, Carol found herself being picked on by its domineering leader. She felt so bothered by it that she had to seek counseling. She was advised to quit the ministry, but she didn’t want to “abandon” the seniors. Feeling caught in between, she prayed to God for guidance, and He gave her comfort and assurance as she submitted her fears to Him. He showed her that she should talk to the leader but trust Him to resolve the issue.

When King Jehoshaphat heard of a powerful enemy approaching Jerusalem, his first response was to pray. Appealing to God’s sovereignty, he said, “We do not know what to do, but our eyes are on you” (2 CHRONICLES 20:12). Instead of relying on their own strength, the king and people of Judah submitted themselves and their troubles to God (V. 18).

God’s answer to the king and people through the prophet Jahaziel was heartening: “Do not be afraid or discouraged . . . . For the battle is not yours, but God’s” (V. 15). God commanded Judah to march out, but to trust Him with the result. They did so in faith, praising God as if the prayer was already answered (VV. 20-21)—and found the battle already won (V. 24).

Whenever we face difficult situations, let’s pray and look to God for help. We may not always see victory, but whatever happens, we need not be afraid, for the battle is His.

죽은 마음에 피어나는 새 생명

심재는 특정 나무의 중앙부분을 지탱해주는 기둥입니다. 비록 죽은 조직 이지만, 바깥쪽 살아 있는 층과 결합돼 있는 한 썩지도 강도를 잃지도 않습니다. 리그닌이라 불리는 화학적 접착성분에 의해 단단히 결합한 섬유질인 심재는 강철만큼 강합니다. 이러한 구조를 가진 나무는 자연의 시련 속에서도 살아남습니다.

바울이 골로새 교인들에게 부활의 삶을 살도록 권면할 때, 구원받은 성도들이 어떻게 변화되는지 표현하기 위해 심재의 비유를 들었을 수도 있지 않았을까 생각합니다. “너희가 죽었고 너희 생명이 그리스도와 함께 하나님 안에 감추어졌음이라”(골로새서 3:3). 우리가 “죽었다”라는 바울의 표현이 당혹스러울 수 있지만, 부활의 관점에서 보면 우리는 그 말에 담긴 소망을 이해할 수 있습니다. 하나님은 우리의 죽은 내면을 변화시키시며, 부활하신 예수님의 능력으로 우리를 강하게 하셔서 삶의 시련을 견디게 하십니다.

우리의 옛 자아는 마치 나무의 심재처럼 죽은 상태입니다. 그러나 우리는 여전히 하나님이 창조하신 독특한 존재, 그 이상으로 존재합니다. 우리는 새롭게 되었습니다(요한계시록 21:5). 우리는 그리스도 안에서 새로운 피조물입니다 (고린도후서 5:17). 예수님 안에서 “우리가 그를 힘입어 살며 움직이고 존재”합니다(사도행전 17:28).

나무의 구조가 그리스도 안에서 우리의 삶이 어떤 모습인지를 생생하게 보여줍니다. 죽음을 생명으로 변화시켜 주신 하나님께 감사드립니다.

NEW LIFE FOR DEAD HEARTS

Heartwood is the central supporting pillar of certain trees. Although dead, it won’t decay or lose strength while the outer, living layers are intact. Composed of fibers bound together by a chemical glue called lignin, heartwood can be as strong as steel. This element of a tree’s structure enables it to survive nature’s travails.

When Paul encouraged the Colossians to live a resurrected life, he could have used the metaphor of heartwood to express how those who have been saved are transformed. “For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God” (COLOSSIANS 3:3). While Paul’s reference to us as “dead” might seem discouraging, when understood from the perspective of the resurrection we grasp the hope of such a statement. God transforms the dead core of our beings, strengthening us in the power of the resurrected Jesus to endure the trials of this life.

Our prior inner beings are as dead as the heartwood of a tree. Yet we still exist as the unique people God created us to be—and more. We’re made new (REVELATION 21:5). We’re new creatures in Christ (2 CORINTHIANS 5:17). In Jesus “we live and move and have our being” (ACTS 17:28).

We see a living example of how the structure of trees represents our life in Christ. Thanks be to God for transforming us from death to life! ELISA MORGAN

가까이 지낼만한 사람들

한 과학적 연구에 따르면, 못된 사람들이 등장하는 TV 프로그램을 보면 실제로 못된 사람이 될 수 있다고 합니다. 노골적인 싸움이든 은근한 험담이든 TV에 나오는 여러가지 형태의 공격적인 모습들은 시청자의 뇌를 유사한 행동으로 이끌기 때문입니다. 이러한 상관관계는 대개 무의식적으로 작용하기 때문에, 프로그램에서 남을 비하하는 농담이 “해롭지 않아” 보여도 우리가 타인을 대하는 방식에 미묘한 영향을 끼칠 수 있습니다. 마찬가지로, 우리가 자주 함께 시간을 보내는 사람들도 우리의 행동에 영향을 줍니다.

THE COMPANY WE KEEP

A scientific study revealed that watching TV programs featuring mean characters can actually lead people to be mean. Various forms of aggression—whether outright fighting or subtle gossip—primes viewers’ brains for similar behavior. This connection is often subconscious, meaning that even shows with seemingly “harmless” jokes at others’ expense can subtly influence how we treat others. So, too, the people we choose to spend our time with will affect our behavior.

Solomon provides timeless wisdom on this important subject: “Walk with the wise and become wise, for a companion of fools suffers harm” (PROVERBS 13:20). He implies that individuals may not achieve this wisdom alone, so they should associate with wise, God-honoring people—teachers and friends—instead of those who are foolish. Surrounding oneself with wise individuals fosters “good judgment” and helps us steer clear of “destruction” (V. 15). One scholar calls this “education by friendship.” Regular companions inevitably influence each other, for better or worse. Solomon urges us to be aware of the company we keep, recognizing that “the teaching of the wise is a fountain of life” (V. 14).

As God helps us, let’s consistently surround ourselves with people who will encourage us to revere Him, love others, and grow in wisdom.

배신을 극복하는 방법

소설가 토니 모리슨은 자신의 소설에서 어린 시절부터 친구였던 넬과 술라의 이야기를 들려줍니다. 술라가 점차 이기적으로 변해가면서 우정은 파탄이 나고, 넬의 남편을 유혹하는 지경에까지 이릅니다. “왜 내 생각은 안 했어?” 넬이 술라에게 따집니다. “난 아무 의미도 없다는거야?” 슬프게도 술라는 대답 조차 하지 않습니다.

누구나 경험해 본 사람이면 알겠지만, 친구의 배신으로 인한 고통은 견디기 힘듭니다. 다윗 왕은 “위협과 거짓”의 정치적 음모에 휩쓸렸을 때 그런 “악의와 모욕”을 경험했습니다(시편 55:10-11). 가장 끔찍한 점은 그 배후에 누가 있었는가 였습니다. 그는 말합니다. “나를 책망하는 자가 원수일진대 내가 참았으리라.” “그는 곧 너로다. 나의 동료, 나의 친구요 나의 ‘가까운 친우로다’” (12-13절).

그 같은 배신에 우리는 어떻게 대응해야 할까요? 다윗은 자신의 어려운 입장을 하나님께 털어 놓으며(16, 20절), 배신한 친구를 응징해 주시기를 기도 합니다(15절). 그러나 예수님은 그와 다르게 접근하셨습니다. 유다의 배신에 예수님은 “친구여 네가 무엇을 하려고 왔는지 행하라”고 말씀하시며 보복을 거부하셨습니다(마태복음 26:49-50).

배신당한 우정은 회복될 수 있을까요? 그것은 배신당한 사람이 화해의 문을 열고 배신한 사람이 지속적으로 참회의 모습을 보일 때만 가능합니다. 술라의 참회하지 않는 태도는 넬이 떠나야 함을 의미합니다. 하나님의 도우심을 받아 우정을 소중히 여기면서 혹 상처를 준 일이 있다면 신속히 화해합시다.

RECOVERING FROM BETRAYAL

In one of her novels, Toni Morrison tells the story of Nel and Sula, friends since childhood. But the friendship frays as Sula’s self-centeredness grows, culminating in her seducing Nel’s husband. “Why didn’t you think about me?” Nel asks Sula. “Didn’t I count?” Sadly, Sula doesn’t even care enough to answer.

As anyone who’s experienced it knows, the pain of a friend’s betrayal is hard to rival. King David felt such “malice and abuse” when a political conspiracy of “threats and lies” engulfed him (PSALM 55:10-11). The worst part was who was behind it. “If an enemy were insulting me, I could endure it,” he says. “But it is you, a man like myself, my companion, my close friend” (VV. 12-13).

How should we respond to such betrayal? While David takes his turmoil to God (VV. 16, 20), he prays retribution will fall on his betraying friend (V. 15). We see a different approach taken by Jesus. Faced with Judas’ betrayal, he says, “Do what you came for, friend,” refusing to retaliate in kind (MATTHEW 26:49-50).

Can a friendship recover from betrayal? Only if the offended can stay open to reconciliation and the offender proves their repentance over time. Sula’s lack of remorse means Nel must walk away. As God helps us, let’s treasure our friendships and swiftly make amends for any hurt we cause.

WORDS THAT HONOR GOD

My friend, Alex, a book editor, checked his inbox, anticipating an angry email from an author. He’d been working with a prominent business leader on the client’s manuscript for months. Unexpectedly, the publisher had decided to halt the publication of the book due to company problems. After emailing the author the bad news, Alex braced himself.

A week later a reply came. “I didn’t answer right away because I wanted to think first about my words and how to respond,” the author wrote. He expressed disappointment, then calmly stated how he thought the publisher could’ve handled the issue.

The author’s wise, measured response left a deep impression on me. His behavior reflected what the Bible says our communication should be like, especially when we’re angry. The apostle James tells us to keep “a tight rein on [our] tongues” because it’s easy to sin with our words (JAMES 1:26; SEE 3:5-6). We’re to prioritize listening to others so we can understand them, choose our words, and consider whether it’s necessary to get angry (1:19).

Not only does restraint in speech help us to avoid sin and allow the Scriptures to change us (V. 21), but it also reflects who God is to others: “compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, abounding in love” (PSALM 103:8). Let’s model our loving God with our words—and our silences.

LIVING WATER OF CHRIST

As I gazed at the intricate etching Christ and the Woman of Samaria by Dutch artist Rembrandt, two interesting details caught my eye. The first was Jesus’ humble pose—leaning over, with His hand over His heart—as he addressed the Samaritan woman. Due to centuries of hostilities between the two groups, Jews typically didn’t “associate with Samaritans” (JOHN 4:9). Yet Jesus reached out with respect and dignity to a woman considered an outcast (VV. 17-18).

Jesus knew the woman’s struggles and offered “living water” (V. 10) to satisfy her deepest need—the gift of cleansing and life-giving grace available through a restored relationship with God.

The second detail that caught my eye was the dark shadow covering the woman’s face, symbolizing her initial struggle to recognize Jesus as the Messiah, or Israel’s promised rescuer. When the woman told Jesus, “I know that Messiah is coming” (V. 25) and He responded, “I am he” (V. 26), her eyes and heart were opened (V. 29).

As we encounter people who are spiritually thirsty, Jesus’ example reminds me to speak with humility and kindness, praying for God to remove the shadow that “has blinded the minds of unbelievers” (2 CORINTHIANS 4:4) so they can fully understand Christ’s life-changing offer of living water.
